Life Groups

A LIFE Group is a small group of people (4-16) who are committed to building Christ-centered relationships for the purpose of:

The early church in Acts 2 had a very simple plan for growing spiritually healthy believers.  “They continued steadfastly in the Apostle’s doctrine and in fellowship… “

The word for fellowship is koinonia and literally means to live and share life together. That’s what we at FGF aim to do through our LIFE groups. Develop healthy relationships and share our lives together in Christ.

When do they meet?

Most of our LIFE Groups meet on Wednesday nights while the kids and youth are having services at FountainGate.
However, there are numerous LIFE Groups that meet on other days and times as well…

Where do they meet?

Many of our LIFE Groups meet in homes all around Abilene; however, we have some LIFE Groups that meet at the Church, in restaurants, and in businesses.  Where ever our members get together, we believe that God is meeting with them there!

What do they do?

LIFE Groups are committed to spending regular time with each other building relationships together.  That means that we share our lives, our joys, and our trials.  All for the purpose of allowing Christ to make us into His image.

The Apostle Paul admonishes believers in Galations to “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill
the law of Christ…”

Part of what we at FGF do in LIFE groups is “bear one another’s burdens”.  Your life can sometimes be filled with challenges, trials, and burdens that are very hard to carry alone.  In a LIFE group, you can find friends and family that will pick you up and carry you to Jesus.

When Jesus saw the group of friends lowering the lame man through the roof of the house, He was amazed at their faith and commitment.  We at FGF hope to build the same kind of relationships through our LIFE group ministry.

Do you have someone in your life that will pick you up and carry you to Jesus?  If so, thank God for them.  If not, find a LIFE group.  It can change your life!!!
